Introducing MESE: A Microequity Stock Exchange on Algorand
Launched in 2019, MESE is a microequity exchange that allows for micro-level participation in the global tech equity market, operating on the Algorand blockchain.
MESE allows for users to buy and sell 1/10,000 of a represented stock’s value (1 microequity) which is backed by the actual stock on a 1 to 1 basis.
If you have ever looked at the price of some of the big tech stocks and thought you couldn’t afford them, now you can have exposure to the market at a much lower entry point.
Microequity tokens enable anyone with an internet connection and a crypto wallet to gain investment exposure to leading tech stocks in the form of digital tokens.

How to Buy Microequity Tokens on MESE Exchange
If you don’t already have an account with MESE.io you will need to create one.
If you know someone who already uses MESE ask them for their invitation code to qualify for any current sign-up incentives. You can find your code, link, and QR code in your account settings.
Once you have registered, you can log in. Have your email account open as you should receive an email to verify your login.
Once you’ve clicked to verify you should get an email verification pop up.
Once you’ve clicked click to send you only have 60 seconds to copy the code from your email.
You’ll need your ID handy to verify your account. Once you have successfully logged in for the first time, it’s always recommended to secure your account.
If you secure your account via Google Authenticator, make sure you keep all the backup information related to your Google Authenticator stored in a safe place. If your phone dies or is lost or you upgrade your device, you will need this information.
Security might be tedious and boring but they are your funds. You are responsible for their safety.
Now, on to the fun stuff!
How to Deposit Funds
Before you can go shopping you will need to deposit funds into your account.
- Click “Balances”
- Click “Deposit” for the currency you wish to deposit. Always only send the same currency to the same currency. If you send a different currency to a wallet address it’s likely those funds will be lost forever.
Use the QR Code if you can otherwise copy and paste your address into the wallet you are withdrawing from. It’s wise to double-check the address has copied correctly before finalizing your withdrawal.
The arrival of your funds could range from minutes to hours depending on network activity, so don’t stress if they aren’t there instantly. If you want to monitor the progress you can check the transaction hash.
How to Buy Microequity Tokens in Apple
At the time of writing, MESE offered BTC, ETH, ALGO, ARCC, MMSFT, MAMZN, MTWTR, MNFLX, MGOOGL, MAAPL, MTSLA.
Below is an example of how to buy Microequity Tokens in Apple. The process would be the same for any other tokens. If you wanted to sell instead of buy then enter the figures in the sell section and click sell.
There are normally two choices when buying on an exchange: market buy and limit buy.
Market buy is an instant purchase at the current market price. A Limit buy allows you to set your preferred price and then you wait for your order to be filled (which it might not).
To Market Buy
- Select Exchange from the top menu bar.
- Select Market.
- Enter the amount you wish to purchase in USD amount.
- Click the green buy button.
To Set a Limit Order
- Select Exchange from the top menu bar.
- Select Market.
- You can type in the price manually or click on a price in the order book. The red prices are sellers, the green prices are buyers.
- Enter the amount you wish to purchase in USD amount.
- Click the green buy button.
- Your order should appear in the Open Orders section at the bottom, refresh the screen if it doesn’t appear straight away. Once your order is filled it will appear in the order history.
